Background
The solicitation is issued by the U.S. Navy for Non-skid alterations on military vessels, aiming to enhance safety and operational efficiency onboard.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide management, administrative and production services, materials, tools, equipment, and support to remove old deck covering and underlayment, abrasive blast, ultra high pressure water jet, and power tool clean decks; prepare surfaces, apply primer coatings, and install new non-skid deck covering onboard U.S. Navy or other military vessels.

Authorized areas include flight decks, hangar bays, vertical replenishment decks, cargo decks, elevators, tank decks, vehicle stowage, walkways (fixed and portable), catwalks, and designated interior spaces. The work must be done with minimal disruption to ship's personnel living onboard. Contractors may need to respond to multiple simultaneous delivery orders for different vessels.

Required reports must be compatible with Microsoft Office and Web Applications. Single delivery orders may require cutting and applying 18,000 square feet of non-skid per day.

Period of Performance
The contract spans five years with a base year followed by four option years: Base Year from 04-DEC-2020 to 03-DEC-2021; Option I from 04-DEC-2021 to 03-DEC-2022; Option II from 04-DEC-2022 to 03-DEC-2023; Option III from 04-DEC-2023 to 03-DEC-2024; Option IV from 04-DEC-2024 to 03-DEC-2025.

Place of Performance
Norfolk Naval Shipyard and other designated naval facilities.
