Non-Personal Service - Registered Nurse/License Practical Nurse Services - Pine Ridge Comprehensive Health Care Facility, Pine Ridge, SD 5770

Background
The Pine Ridge Service Unit (PRSU) Indian Health Service aims to enhance the physical, mental, social, and spiritual health of American Indians and Alaska Natives. To fulfill this mission, the PRSU requires contractor support to assist the nursing department during acute staffing shortages in Out-Patient clinics.

The Pine Ridge Reservation is located in southwestern South Dakota, approximately 100 miles from Rapid City, and is home to the Oglala Lakota Nation.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide qualified Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to work at PRSU. The contract is for non-personal services aimed at providing direct patient care in outpatient settings, including specialty clinics and community outreach.

Key tasks include:
1. Providing direct patient care for all ages with diverse medical conditions.
2. Conducting patient assessments and interventions such as dressing changes, medication administration, and patient education.
3. Performing nursing reassessments to evaluate patient responses and updating care plans accordingly.
4. Ensuring compliance with infection control procedures and maintaining accurate documentation in electronic health records.
5. Participating in quality improvement programs and adhering to standards set by CMS and other regulatory bodies.
6. Flexibility to work across various departments including emergency services as needed.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a base period of three months starting from March 1, 2026, with eight optional periods extending up to May 31, 2028.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at multiple locations including Pine Ridge Service Unit (607 Indian Health Road, Pine Ridge, SD), Kyle Health Center (1000 Health Center Rd, Kyle SD), Wanblee Health Center (210 1st St, Wanblee SD), LaCreek Health Center (119 S 1st Ave, Martin SD), Mobile Unit/Clinic, Pine Ridge Jail, and various community outreach locations.
