Non-Personal Healthcare Services-Physician & Other Professional Ambulatory Services for PRC Program

Background
The Albuquerque Area Indian Health Services (AAIHS) is seeking to contract professional healthcare services for Purchased/Referred Care (PRC) eligible American Indian and Alaskan Native patients. The goal of this contract is to provide medically necessary outpatient and inpatient services through local specialty healthcare providers and hospitals, ensuring that these services are not conducted within IHS clinics or hospitals but at the contractor's facilities. This initiative aligns with the mission of the IHS to enhance healthcare access for these populations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide non-personal healthcare services including, but not limited to, outpatient and inpatient specialty health care services such as cardiology, orthopedics, radiology, general surgery, oncology, podiatry, orthotics, prosthetics, dialysis, ophthalmology, urology, and air ambulance services. Services must be ordered by an IHS physician or authorized representative. The contractor is responsible for providing all necessary personnel, facilities, medical equipment, supplies, and pharmaceuticals to deliver these services. Additionally, the contractor must ensure proper patient care consultation and discharge planning in coordination with IHS representatives. The contractor shall also adhere to medical necessity guidelines set by IHS and maintain confidentiality in accordance with the Privacy Act.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a period of 12 months from January 2, 2024 to January 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the contractor's facility located in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
