Description

The Indian Health Service, Shiprock Service Unit, Northern Navajo Medical Center, located in Shiprock, New Mexico 87420, has an upcoming requirement for Registered Nursing Services for the OB/GYN Department. There will be three (3) positions available. Please submit no more than five (5) candidates per position.

**It is the responsibility of the Offeror to submit only qualified, applicable and available full-time personnel. Any personnel submitted by multiple offerors will not be forwarded for evaluation and further consideration**

The Period of Performance for this requirement will be for a Base Period of six (6) months followed by one (1) Option Period of six (6) months.

The North American Industry Classification System or NAICS code is 561320 Temporary Help Services with a small business size standard of $34M.

Evaluation factors may include technical capability to meet the government need in accordance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS), minimum education requirements, professional certifications, past performance, and price. Quotes will be due on or by January 14, 2025. The acquisition is set-aside for Indian Small Business Economic Enterprises (ISBEE).

Background

The Northern Navajo Medical Center, located in Shiprock, New Mexico, serves as a critical healthcare provider for the Navajo Nation, which encompasses a large geographic area and has a significant population requiring healthcare services. This contract seeks to address the ongoing shortage of nursing staff in remote areas by providing Registered Nursing Services specifically for the OB/GYN Department.

Work Details
The contractor will provide non-personal nursing services including but not limited to:
1. Outpatient and inpatient nursing care for IHS patients.
2. Compliance with nursing duties as outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
3. Adherence to competency standards such as confidentiality, HIPAA compliance, medication administration, and patient management.
4. Participation in training specific to IHS protocols and systems.
5. Management of medical information according to HIPAA standards.
6. Conducting duties with professionalism and cultural sensitivity towards patients from the Navajo Nation.

Period of Performance
The contract will have a Base Period of six (6) months starting from April 1, 2025, followed by an Option Period of six (6) months extending until March 31, 2026.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various healthcare facilities within the Northern Navajo Medical Center and other locations under the jurisdiction of the Navajo Area Indian Health Service.
