Non-Human Primate (NHP) Breeding Colony Maintenance   3

Background
The solicitation is for the husbandry and health maintenance of a primate colony, specifically SPF IO rhesus macaques, NHP, owned by WRAIR and managed by the VSP. The Government may require quarantining, immunizing, and transporting the monkeys as directed. The contracting agency is the U.S. Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity (USAMRAA).

Work Details
The contract includes various services such as husbandry and colony maintenance per diem for approximately 320 animals over a 5-year period, other direct costs for a 5-year period, NHP purchasing services for a 5-year period, services in support of NHP sales for a 5-year period, surge per diem for up to 200 additional animals over a 5-year period, diagnostics services for a 5-year period, NHP shipping services for a 5-year period, and service contract reporting for a 5-year period. Additionally, there is an optional transition in service to fully transfer all responsibilities including NHPS. The contract has a minimum quantity and contract value for all orders issued against it.

Period of Performance
The period of performance is from September 1, 2022, to August 31, 2027.

The place of performance is at Walter Reed in Silver Spring, MD.
