Non-Emergent Medical Transportation Service - VA Loma Linda Health Care System   4

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking non-emergent medical transportation services for the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System. The services include ambulatory, wheelchair, and stretcher transportation for eligible beneficiaries residing in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties to get to and from their scheduled medical appointments at the VA's main facility and its associated Community Based Outpatient Clinic locations on an as-needed basis, twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all labor, tools, equipment, vehicles, facilities, management, and other elements necessary to provide the transportation services. This includes a 24-hour dispatch center, transportation coordinator, qualified drivers trained in securing patients during transportation, and vehicles in excellent mechanical condition with safety features. The contractor must also adhere to performance objectives related to timely pickup for scheduled trips, vehicle maintenance, driver qualifications, patient safety during transportation, and invoice submissions.

Period of Performance
The contract period of performance begins on August 1, 2024, and ends on September 30, 2024. There is also an option for a contract period from October 1, 2024, to September 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The geographic locations for the contract performance are San Bernardino and Riverside Counties in California.
