Non-Emergent Ground Ambulance Transport Services for Fayetteville NC VAMC   2

Background
The Fayetteville NC VA Coastal Healthcare System (FNCVACHCS) requires contracted non-emergency ambulance transportation services to support its mission of serving over 157,000 veterans in the Fayetteville area and its associated Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).

The contract aims to provide essential ambulance services, ensuring that veterans receive timely and appropriate medical transport as needed.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all vehicles, personnel, management, supplies, equipment, and necessary reporting for the provision of Stretcher Transports, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), Specialty Care Transport (SCT), or Critical Care Transport (CCT) services.

Services must be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week, including weekends and holidays. Specific requirements include:
1. Providing urgent and non-emergent transport services as needed.
2. Transporting patients along with their luggage, medical records, medications, and comfort items at no additional cost.
3. Ensuring all personnel meet required qualifications and certifications.
4. Maintaining ambulances in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
5. Conducting background checks on personnel and ensuring they are free from felony convictions for the past five years.
6. Providing adequate storage for oxygen tanks during transport.
7. Meeting response times for scheduled and urgent transports as specified in the contract.
