Nolin River Lake Project Office Demolition

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Louisville District, is issuing this contract for the demolition of the Nolin River Lake Project Office and an adjacent storage building located at 2150 Nolin Dam Rd., Bee Spring, KY.

The mission of the agency is to manage and maintain water resources and infrastructure in a manner that supports public safety and environmental stewardship. The goal of this contract is to safely demolish existing structures while ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.

Work Details
The scope of work includes:
1. Demolition of the Nolin Lake Project Office (approximately 40ft x 80ft) and an adjacent storage building (approximately 16ft x 16ft), including all associated structures such as a breezeway.
2. Removal of asbestos-containing materials (ACM) by a contractor certified in Kentucky, including clearance sampling tests to ensure airborne fiber counts are below acceptable levels.
3. Disposal of all waste materials in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations, with documentation required for disposal facilities used for ACM.
4. Grading and graveling the demolition site (approximately 40ft x 100ft) to ensure proper drainage towards the lake with a specified grade.
5. All work must include mobilization & de-mobilization, fuel, labor, materials, equipment, disposal costs, and any necessary permits.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within 10 calendar days after receiving the Notice to Proceed (NTP) and complete all work within 120 calendar days after the NTP.

The construction projects will be performed at Nolin River Lake, specifically at 2150 Nolin Dam Rd., Bee Spring, KY.
