Background
The National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) is intending to award a contract extension on a sole source basis for the management and operation of the Kansas City National Security Campus (KCNSC) to Honeywell Federal Manufacturing & Technologies, LLC. The KCNSC is critical to the Department of Energy (DOE) Stockpile Stewardship Program and has a primary mission of producing and procuring components and hardware for nuclear weapons. The extension is necessary to minimize impacts to the NNSA mission and ensure uninterrupted operations for meeting critical non-nuclear production requirements.

Work Details
The contract extension involves the management and operation of the Kansas City National Security Campus for a five-year period beginning October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2030.
The KCNSC's primary mission is the production and procurement of electrical, electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, plastic, metal components and hardware for nuclear weapons. The KCFO and Honeywell FM&T interact closely with other Nuclear Security Enterprise (NSE) production plants and design laboratories, DOE and NNSA offices, and numerous other organizations in performing its mission.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a five-year period beginning October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2030.

The contract will be performed at 14520 Botts Rd, Kansas City, MO 64147.
