NJ Hill Rom Bed Rental

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 2, is issuing this Notice of Intent to Sole Source to identify potential sources capable of providing Hill Rom Beds Rental for the VA New Jersey Healthcare System. The goal is to ensure continuity of care for existing patients at the East Orange and Lyons Campuses by utilizing specific models of specialty beds.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide Hill Rom Beds Rental to the VA NJ Healthcare System at the East Orange Campus and Lyons Campus. The rental equipment includes various models such as the Compella™ Bariatric Bed with Continuous Lateral Rotation Therapy, Bariatric Plus Bed with Air & Pulmonary Support, and others, with specific rental durations outlined. All beds must be compatible with existing call systems at both campuses.

The vendor will work closely with Bed Flow Coordinators to manage equipment needs and ensure safe patient care during high demand periods. All rental items must be clean, sanitized, and ready for immediate use according to JACHO standards. Deliveries are expected within 4 to 24 hours, and pickups within 24 hours unless otherwise agreed upon. Maintenance responsibilities include cleaning and decontaminating equipment prior to delivery, providing operator manuals, and conducting training sessions for staff as needed.

Period of Performance
This contract will be for one base year plus four option years.
