Niton XL5 Plus Handheld XRF Analyzer

Background
This is a sole source contract awarded to Thermo Scientific Portable Analytical Instruments Inc. The contract is for the procurement of a Niton XL5 Plus Handheld XRF Analyzer. The performance work statement attached provides more details.

Work Details
Two Niton XL5 Plus analyzers are required for this contract. Both analyzers should be set up with Mining Mode ('M') and Soils Mode ('D'). The analyzers should have standard features including a 5W X-ray tube, global positioning with GPS data storage, proprietary large area drift detector for light element detection, WiFi connectivity, macro and micro cameras, hot swap battery, tilting color touchscreen, directional keys, password protected security, and IPS4 certification.

The minimum limit of detections for certain elements in a soil matrix should be as follows: Pb=6ppm, As=4ppm, Mn=45ppm, Cd=15ppm, Zn=7ppm.

Accessories required for each individual XRF unit include:
- Rechargeable lithium-ion battery packs
- Battery charger/AC adaptor
- USB drive with NitonConnect© software
- PC connection cable
- Mini test stand
- Insitu test guard
- Locked shielded carrying case
- Soil guard Kapton windows replacement (5 pack).

The contractor should provide a two-year manufacturer's warranty to cover parts and labor. Factory authorized operational training class is also required.

Period of Performance
The total requirement shall be delivered to CEMVS EC-EQ within 60 calendar days of the contract award date.

The products will be delivered to CEMVS EC-EQ located at 100 Arsenal Street, Saint Louis Missouri 63118.
