Background
The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Office of Research Facilities (ORF), Office of Acquisitions (OA) is the steward of NIH facilities and is responsible for the planning, design, construction, acquisition, maintenance and operation of NIH owned facilities. The NIH's mission is to seek fundamental knowledge about the nature and behavior of living systems and the application of that knowledge to enhance health, lengthen life, and reduce the burdens of illness and disability.

The NIH is seeking qualified contractors to perform work in support of this mission.

Work Details
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is soliciting a new Multiple Award Construction Contract (MACC) to award Indefinite-Delivery-Indefinite-Quantity IDIQ type contracts to a pool of highly qualified contractors that will subsequently compete for individual Task Orders (TOs) as requirements materialize. The contract aims to establish MACC indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts with capacity to meet the needs identified above. The work includes construction, Design-Bid-Build and Design-Build, alterations, and repair services for various types of spaces such as biomedical research laboratory spaces, animal spaces, office spaces, administrative areas, public areas, utility systems, chiller and steam plants, electrical vaults, etc. The cumulative ceiling for all awards is not to exceed $49,999,999.00 for the life of the contracts.
