Description

The Boeing Company (TBC) St. Louis, Missouri, was awarded a Cost-Plus-Fixed-Fee (CPFF) to previously awarded contract (N0001916C0032). This modification adds scope to provide continued aircraft integration and engineering manufacturing development software developement in support of Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) 6472, integration of Next Generation Jammer (NGJ) on EA-18G aircraft. Work will be performed in St. Louis, Missouri (90%); Whibey Island, Washington (8%); and Patuxent River, Maryland (2%), and is expected to be completed in January, 2024. Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, Maryland, is the contracting activity.

This effort was procured, as a sole-source modification, under the authority of 10 U.S.C 2304(a)(1) and implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 "Only One Responsible Source and No Other Type of Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements." As the original equipment manufacturer and sole designed, developer, and weapon system integrator of the EA-18G aircraft and its systems, only TBC has the manufacturing knowledge, experience, and technical data required to fulfill this requirement within the time required.
