Work Details
The objective of the NGEST program is to develop a new paradigm and technology for advanced radio frequency sensing, enabling intelligent control of advanced reconfigurable hardware technologies in dynamic environments for tactical operations. Performers will develop new orchestration techniques for array control and signal processing to reason over the large decision spaces created by reconfigurable hardware.
Execution of NGEST will likely require expertise in multiple subject areas including machine learning, signal processing, RF hardware properties, software, and control theory. NGEST is a 33-month program organized into a Phase 1 and Phase 2. NGEST Phase 1 will focus on modeling and simulation within a government-defined testbed. Phase 2 will focus on prototyping, testing, and measurements in laboratory and outdoor environments. Performer teams will implement and integrate real-time orchestration software onto prototype hardware developed by team.
