Background
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is a small, independent regulatory agency with the mission of protecting consumers from injury and death associated with the use of thousands of types of consumer products under its jurisdiction. CPSC often makes important news vital to keeping consumers safe.

The agency utilizes an electronic distribution service to distribute and amplify its recall announcements and product safety messages to a broad, nationwide audience. The agency uses monitoring of news coverage and social media to determine and measure the scope and reach of its public safety messages, which include product recall announcements and education campaigns on safety issues, such as poison prevention, drowning prevention, and baby safety.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:
1. Electronic distribution of CPSC press releases, blogs, statements, and other documents to newsrooms nationwide in the U.S., including translation into Spanish.
2. Traditional media monitoring for online news, broadcast television, and radio media monitoring services.
3. Social media monitoring and management with access to a media and influencers database.

Specific requirements include:
- Distribution of up to 170 news releases per year in English with unlimited word count.
- Translation of up to 50 documents into Spanish annually.
- Real-time access for CPSC staff to monitoring platforms for self-searching news coverage.

Period of Performance
The contract has a base period of one (1) year with four (4) sequential twelve-month option periods.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the contractor's site.
