New Req. Roof Replacement Cottonwood DS

Background
The Cottonwood Day School, located in Chinle, AZ, serves the Western Navajo Agency under the Bureau of Indian Education (BIE). The mission of this project is to ensure a safe and code-compliant infrastructure for students and staff. The goal of the contract is to clean, seal, and apply an elastomeric roof coating to the existing roofing system to improve water resistance and extend its service life.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary personnel, supervision, materials, equipment, services, and facilities to perform roof repairs and elastomeric coating at Cottonwood Day School. Key tasks include:

1. Surface Preparation & Repair: Clean and prepare the existing roof surface by removing dirt and contaminants; install elastomeric flashing with scrim reinforcement at roof penetrations; apply silicone coating in valleys for additional protection.

2. Roof Coating Installation: Apply two coats of Polybrite 35 CA elastomeric roof coating evenly across the prepared surface.

3. Finalization: Clean up all roofing-related debris from the site and ensure work areas are left safe and clean. The contractor must also provide a 1-year workmanship warranty and a 10-year manufacturer’s material warranty.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is expected to commence within 10 calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed and must be completed within 60 calendar days.
