New Laundry Facility at Holston Army Ammunition Plant   2

Background
The USACE Norfolk District has a requirement from the JPEOAA to provide design and construction of a new Laundry Facility at the Holston Army Ammunition Plant (HSAAP), which is a Government-Owned, Contractor Operated (GOCO) explosives production facility located in Kingsport, TN.

The facility is essential for supporting routine and specialty laundering requirements of various worker garments and production area fabrics used in conjunction with explosives production operations.

Work Details
The project involves the design and construction of a new Laundry Facility that will house both new and relocated laundry equipment. This includes a scale, hot water tank(s) with controls, several washer/extractors, and dryers.

The building will also feature cutting and sewing rooms, clothing storage, bathrooms, a separate boiler room as required, and a breakroom. Additionally, ramps and a loading dock are necessary for the safe transport of wheeled buggies within the building and to/from change houses.

The Design-Build (DB) Contractor is responsible for obtaining all necessary permits for the project.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall begin performance within calendar days after receiving award and complete it within calendar days after receiving notice to proceed.
