1. Notice of Pre-Advertisement Meeting: Firms/business entities interested in Project Number VA-0007-2016, Design/Build New Bed Tower, James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital, Tampa, Florida, are invited to participate in a- Pre-Advertisement informational meeting at the Embassy Suites Hotel Conference Room, 3705 Spectrum Boulevard, Tampa, Florida, United States 33612 to be held Friday October 14, 2016 commencing at 9:00 a.m.

2. The Government is interested in building awareness of the solicitation which requires the design and construction of a New Bed Tower and Infrastructure Improvements at the James A. Haley Veterans' Hospital (JAHVH), Tampa, FL. The project will include design and construction on an approximate 220,000 gross square foot structure with 100 medical surgical single patient rooms, an intensive care unit with 40 intensive care unit beds, and post operation acute care unit spaces. This includes modifications to existing campus building, ground level and higher level accesses, parking, roads and a pedestrian bridge, connections and additions to existing utility sources, new utilities as required, and demolition of several existing facilities. The project shall be designed and constructed to LEED Silver certifiable standards. Design-Build duration is estimated to be approximately one-thousand calendar days. Contractors shall have capability to perform Design-Build, prepare detailed Design-Build schedules, and conduct intensive coordination with government to execute construction of very large building on a limited space site and with minimal interruption to existing JAHVH operations.

3. Small Businesses, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, 8(a), WOSB, EDWOSB and Hubzone small businesses will have the opportunity to reach out to prospective prime contractor proposers for teaming/subcontracting opportunities.

The approximate cost range of this work is $100,000,000 to $250,000,000.
