NEW (BASE PLUS FOUR): Elevator Inspections (695 MILWAUKEE)   3

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) is seeking vendors capable of providing inspection and testing services for the vertical transportation system (VTS) at the Milwaukee, Wisconsin VA Medical Center located at 5000 W National Avenue.

This contract is structured as a base plus four option years and will be awarded on a firm-fixed price basis.

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, materials, parts, software, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and non-personal services necessary for the execution of the work to be performed under this Contract.

The scope includes periodic inspections and tests as outlined in the checklist for inspection of electric elevators which includes:
1. Inside of Car: Door reopening device, stop switches, operating control devices, car lighting and receptacles, emergency signals, door closing force, power opening/closing of doors/gates.
2. Top of Car: Stopswitches, top-of-car operating devices.
3. Machine Room: Access to machine space, lighting and receptacles, housekeeping.
4. General Inspection: Compliance with ASME A17.2-2010 code requirements covering various components such as gears, bearings, traction sheaves, governor ropes among others.
