MISSISSIPPI RIVER BASIN, NAVIGATION AND ECOSYSTEM SUSTAINABILITY PROGRAM MVR CENTRAL MOORING CELLS - Lock and Dam 14 & 15

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Rock Island District, has a requirement for NESP MVR Central Mooring Facilities/Cells - Lock and Dam 14 & 15. This work includes, but is not limited to: construction of a sheet pile mooring cell downstream of Lock and Dam 14 - Hampton, IL and LeClaire, IA and one mooring cell downstream of Lock and Dam 15 - Davenport, Iowa; including the mechanical dredging and disposal, metal sheet piling installation, armor plating, painting of hydraulic structures, PCC fill, solar-powered machine lights, and stone protection.

Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Rock Island District, is initiating the Mississippi River Basin Navigation and Ecosystem Sustainability Program (NESP) for the construction of Central Mooring Facilities at Lock and Dam 14 & 15.

The goal of this contract is to enhance navigation and ecosystem sustainability in the region by constructing mooring cells that will facilitate better management of waterway traffic and improve environmental conditions.

Work Details
The contract includes construction tasks such as:
- Construction of a sheet pile mooring cell downstream of Lock and Dam 14 located in Hampton, IL and LeClaire, IA.
- Construction of a mooring cell downstream of Lock and Dam 15 in Davenport, IA.
- Mechanical dredging and disposal of materials.
- Installation of metal sheet piling.
- Armor plating for hydraulic structures.
- Painting of hydraulic structures.
- Placement of PCC (Portland Cement Concrete) fill.
- Installation of solar-powered machine lights.
- Stone protection measures to ensure structural integrity.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be completed within 1,100 consecutive calendar days from the start date.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at Lock and Dam 14 in Hampton, IL and LeClaire, IA, as well as Lock and Dam 15 in Davenport, IA.
