NCR-Nama Purchase Standard Forklift

Background
The National Park Service (NPS), part of the Department of the Interior (DOI), is seeking to procure a Rough Terrain Standard Forklift to support operations such as maintenance, logistics, and material handling within the National Mall and Memorial Parks.

The goal of this contract is to acquire a new forklift that meets specific operational requirements, ensuring efficient service delivery in outdoor settings.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide one new Rough Terrain Standard Forklift with the following specifications:
- Capacity: 3,000–7,000 lbs (minimum rated capacity)
- Type: Internal combustion engine
- Tires: Pneumatic tires suitable for uneven and outdoor terrain
- Engine Type: Gasoline, diesel, or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG)
- Lift Height: Minimum 12 feet lift height with a standard mast
- Travel Speed: Capable of speeds appropriate for safe operation in outdoor settings
- Gradeability: Adequate gradeability to navigate slight inclines and uneven surfaces.

Safety Features:
- Overhead guard for operator safety
- Seatbelt and operator presence system
- Back-up alarm and horn
- LED headlights and strobe light for enhanced visibility.

Ergonomics:
- Adjustable operator seat
- Intuitive control layout for ease of use.

Additional Features:
- Standard 42-inch forks (adjustable)
- Side-shift capability or equivalent (preferred).

Warranty: Minimum 12-month manufacturer warranty on parts and labor.
Deliverables include a fully operational forklift meeting all specified requirements, along with documentation such as operator’s manual, maintenance manual, warranty documentation, and on-site training for up to five NPS staff members.

Period of Performance
Delivery must be completed no later than February 28, 2026.

Place of Performance
The forklift will be delivered to 1100 Buckeye Drive, SW Washington DC 20024.
