Background
The Naval Facilities Engineering Command is issuing this solicitation for the renovation of the Naval Operating Support Center (NOSC) located in Bronx, New York City. The facility, approximately 55 years old and encompassing 68,000 square feet, aims to undergo a whole center repair to enhance its functionality while allowing partial use during renovations.

The project seeks to provide temporary facilities for administration, classrooms, and shower facilities for personnel during the renovation process.

Work Details
The scope of work includes extensive renovations across various spaces within the NOSC, such as administrative areas, classrooms, medical facilities, a fitness room, drill hall, storage rooms, toilet rooms, and a vehicle maintenance facility.

Specific construction tasks include:
- civil work;
- structural alterations;
- architectural modifications;
- mechanical system upgrades;
- plumbing and electrical installations;
- force protection enhancements;
- fire protection improvements.

Additional tasks involve the removal of asphalt, trenching and excavation for waterlines, roof structure repairs, wall and ceiling renovations, installation of mechanical systems including ductwork and controls, plumbing fixtures and piping installation, electrical panel upgrades including receptacles and lighting fixtures installation. The project also includes environmental remediation tasks such as the removal of damaged pipe insulation containing asbestos and PCB materials.
