Description

The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to identify qualified vendors and gather input on potential solutions to support the upcoming acquisition for enabling a secure Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) capability on NCIA's Business Mobility Network.

The NCIA reference for this RFI is RFI-07301-BYOD, and all correspondence and submissions concerning this matter should reference this number

This RFI is issued for planning purposes only and is part of NCIA's effort to ensure it has a clear understanding of the marketplace, available capabilities, and potential acquisition strategies.

This RFI is issued solely for informational purposes and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), Request for Quotation (RFQ), or Invitation for Bid (IFB).

Any response to this RFI shall be provided on a cost-free and voluntary basis. Not responding will not prejudice or cause the exclusion of companies from any future procurement that may arise from this RFI

Responses are to be submitted no later than 12:00 hours CET on 30 October 2025.

Background
The NATO Communications and Information Agency (NCIA) is conducting market research to identify potential sources and gather information regarding industry capabilities to support enabling a secure Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) capability on the Agency’s Business Mobility Network.

The purpose of this Request for Information (RFI) is to obtain input from industry to help inform NCIA’s acquisition planning, refine requirements, identify capabilities, and shape the strategy for any future solicitation. The agency aims to increase flexibility, efficiency, and mobility by allowing authorized users to securely access NATO business services from personal devices without compromising network integrity or cybersecurity.

Work Details
The RFI seeks information on existing commercial capabilities related to mobile device management, endpoint detection and response, secure containers, virtual desktop infrastructure, zero trust architecture, and user identity/access management solutions that enable BYOD at an enterprise scale.

Responses should address the items listed in Annex A - Requested Information. Interested parties are invited to submit responses in PDF or Word format not exceeding 20 pages, excluding cover pages and company brochures.

Period of Performance
Responses are requested by 12:00 hours Central European Time (CET) on 30 October 2025.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed within NATO member countries as part of the NCIA's operations.
