Background
The NOAA/National Weather Services is seeking services for technical evaluations, support for life-cycle maintenance, and catastrophic recovery of the existing Next Generation Weather Radar (NEXRAD) WSR-88D Radar Towers.

The NEXRAD program is a joint effort involving the Department of Commerce, Department of Defense, and Department of Transportation, aiming to maintain the operational integrity of radar towers critical for weather data collection.

Work Details
The contract involves inspection and engineering evaluation of WSR-88D radar towers, structural repair and replacement, restoration of galvanic coatings, and delivery of engineering data and change proposals.

Specific tasks include tower inspection reports, structural repair using ASTM A-780 standard practices, and submission of engineering change proposals if non-OEM parts are used. The contractor must ensure towers are restored to like-new condition with all necessary materials provided.

Period of Performance
The contract period is five years with one-year ordering periods from 9/16/2021 to 9/15/2026.

Place of Performance
Performance will occur at various WSR-88D radar tower sites across the United States and overseas locations as listed in Attachment 3.
