Description

See attached Combined Synopsis/Solicitation for details.

Background
The National Museum of the United States Navy is seeking consultant services to support the modernization, relocation, and construction of a new museum campus. The current museum location on the historic Washington Navy Yard does not meet Navy Museum and Historic Resource Facility standards and has experienced a decline in annual visitors. The Secretary of the Navy has funded the Naval History and Heritage Command Campus Program Office (CPO) to lead a nationwide capital campaign to fund the construction of a $450M state-of-the-art museum campus. The contractor will support previously-contracted assessment, engagement planning, campaign feasibility, and methodology studies.

Work Details
The contractor must have experience in successful multi-million dollar national campaigns to plan and fund new museums or similar projects, knowledge of the national philanthropic community, ability to create and manage a comprehensive engagement plan for key stakeholders, identifying museum business operations, campaign, and planning challenges, conducting studies on the feasibility of a national capital campaign including public and private funding sources, and providing recommendations to support NHHC.
