National Center on Substance Abuse and Child Welfare (NCSACW) Technical Assistance and Training 4
Amendment 1, Responses to Questions and Responses. Additionally, Revised Attachment 1b included.
The purpose of this contract is to continue to address these priorities as well as the priorities of the current NCSACW mission: to improve systems and practices for families with substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health disorders and child abuse and neglect who are involved with or at risk for involvement with the child welfare and family judicial systems by assisting local, state and tribal agencies. Additionally, NCSACW will continue to collect, develop and disseminate information that helps child welfare, SUD treatment and court professionals to better serve the needs of families involved with the child welfare system because of parental SUD. The NCSACW pursues these goals principally through the delivery of technical assistance and training activities. This new contract will continue most of the activities undertaken during previous contract periods as well as respond to emerging needs as they develop over the course of the award. These include: 1) technical assistance, 2) training, 3) resource development, 4) information dissemination, and 5) transition, maintenance and further development of a website. It also will provide support to grantees and support a number of optional tasks as needed.
