Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, National Cemetery Administration is responsible for honoring veterans with a final resting place and lasting memorials that commemorate their service to the nation.

The Nashville National Cemetery is designated as a national shrine, and the standards of maintenance and operational procedures performed by the contractor must reflect the nation's concern for those interred there.

This contract aims to repair and replace components of the existing Automated Irrigation System at the Nashville National Cemetery.

Work Details
The contractor is required to repair or replace components of the existing Automated Irrigation System in specific sections of the cemetery known as Quad A, Quad B, Quad C, and Quad D.

The work includes:
- repairing or replacing rotary heads and traditional spray heads;
- upgrading the old Hunter controller satellite;
- installing new 2-wire electrical control wiring;
- replacing electric control valves, manual valves, Hunter rotary sprinklers, MP rotators, and spray type sprinklers;
- installing decoders, flow monitor sensors, Wi-Fi communications, Centralus cloud management systems;
- implementing a lightning protection system;
- replacing booster pumps;
- repairing mainline piping;
- replacing mainline valves; and
- lateral line piping replacement with new Hunter irrigation parts.

All work must ensure that the irrigation system is fully functional and operational as specified by the manufacturer.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period will commence within 10 calendar days after receiving the notice to proceed and is expected to be completed within 365 calendar days.
