Background
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Ames Research Center (ARC) has issued Request for Proposal (RFP) 80ARC024R0002 in support of Aerospace Research, Technology, and Simulations (ARTS). The principal purpose of this requirement is to provide support to NASA ARC in the performance of aeronautics and technology mission objectives, particularly the engineering services to operate, maintain, and upgrade the simulation facilities and the persistent software facilities located at ARC and the Flight Simulation Facilities at Langley Research Center (LaRC).

Work Details
The contract requires technical services to support the simulation facilities and the persistent software facilities located at NASA's Ames Research Center (ARC) and the Flight Simulation Facilities at Langley Research Center (LaRC). The technical services include operating and maintaining simulators/facilities such as Crew-Vehicle Systems Research Facility, Vertical Motion Simulation Complex, FutureFlight Central, Air Traffic Control Laboratory, Federated Airspace Management Framework (Freddie), Air Traffic Management TestBed, Sherlock Data Warehouse, and WorldWind. The contractor is also required to provide system engineering services, software development capabilities, property management, training, procurement services, and phase-in activities.
