NARA Enterprise Wireless Solution

Background
The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is seeking to implement a comprehensive Enterprise Wireless Solution across all its facilities nationwide. NARA has 39 occupied facilities, with 26 currently having some form of wireless deployment.

The agency faces immediate cybersecurity concerns regarding its guest wireless network, which is indistinguishable from its internal network. This RFI aims to gather insights into available solutions in the marketplace to address these challenges and improve Wi-Fi infrastructure.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for procuring, installing, and providing Wi-Fi hardware and software bundles, as well as design, survey, and operation management services. Key tasks include:

1. Wireless Infrastructure Design: Provide detailed information on access points, controllers, and management software.
2. Site Survey: Conduct surveys for optimal Wi-Fi equipment placement across all accessible areas.
3. Implementation: Install necessary Wi-Fi equipment including cabling and access points, integrating Internet service with the Wi-Fi network.
4. Security: Provide comprehensive information on security features such as encryption protocols and access control measures.
5. Scalability: Detail the solution's scalability regarding the number of users and devices supported.
6. Reliability: Supply data on reliability including uptime statistics and warranty information.
7. Reporting: Provide monthly and ad hoc reports with system usage statistics as defined by NARA.
8. Support: Operate and manage help desk support from 8 AM to 8 PM for on-site guests and researchers, including network management services covering firewalls and intrusion detection.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed across all NARA facilities nationwide.
