Description

Please see the attached market research sources sought notice regarding a new CAA addition to the Nairobi, Kenya, Embassy Compound. The purpose of this sources sought notice is to accomplish market research pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, and to identify businesses capable of performing the functions described herein. The government is requesting information regarding the availability of capable firms to support the requirements of THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF STATE (DOS), Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) for the design and construction of a new CAA Addition to the Nairobi, Kenya, Embassy Compound.

Background
The U.S. Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) has issued a market research sources sought notice for the design and construction of a new CAA Addition to the Nairobi, Kenya, Embassy Compound. The purpose of this notice is to accomplish market research pursuant to Part 10 and to identify businesses capable of performing the functions described.

Work Details
The project involves the addition of a new 'standalone' CAA building to the compound, including one grade and five above-grade office levels, as well as a penthouse and 187 CAA/CAA+ desks. The building will also include a new Post 1, multi-purpose room, and lobby at its ground level. The MCAC will remain in place as-is, but the east perimeter wall will be adjusted to allow for required setback of the new building, and minor adjustments to surface parking are expected.
This is a Design-Build contract, and the awarded contractor shall be provided with bridging documents that the contractor shall develop to 100% final design.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Nairobi, Kenya Embassy Compound.
