This synopsis is hereby issued in accordance with FAR Part 5.201. Naval Information Warfare Center, Pacific (NIWC Pacific) intends to award a firm fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to West Coast Solutions/WECOSO, Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.106 1(b) due to only one source being reasonably available to meet the Government's needs.

This requirement is for the procurement of two (2) custom electronics control modules for a sterling cryocooler specifically the Sunpower DS-1.8. These cryogenic controllers are used to interface with cryogenic coolers needed to operate superconducting sensors and other cryogenic devices at cryogenic temperatures of approximately 77 Kelvin. These cryogenic systems will be used in laboratory and field testing.
This notice is not a request for competitive quotes; however, any responsible source believing that it can fulfill the requirement may be considered by the agency. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this synopsis, and must clearly show the firm's ability to be responsive without compromising the quality, accuracy, and reliability of supplies provided. Responses must be submitted in writing via email no later than 09:00 AM PST on 20 November 2023. Telephone responses and requests will not be accepted. A determination by the Government not to compete the requirement based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Acquisition of Commercial Items under FAR Part 12 and Simplified Acquisitions Procedures under FAR Part 13 apply.
