Background
The solicitation package contains attachments and announces a preproposal conference and site visit. The contract is for an INDEFINITE DELIVERY/INDEFINITE QUANTITY (IDIQ) MULTIPLE AWARD CONSTRUCTION CONTRACT (MACC) FOR SMALL MAGNITUDE SIZE DESIGN-BID-BUILD (DBB) PROJECTS FOR MARINE CORPS BASE (MCB) CAMP BUTLER AND COMMANDER FLEET ACTIVITIES OKINAWA (CFAO), JAPAN. The work will be performed at various U.S. Government Installations in Okinawa, Japan, and may also include other areas throughout NAVFAC Far East Area of Responsibility (AOR) in Japan if approved by the Administrative Contracting Officer (ACO). The base ordering period shall be for five (5) years and one (1) option consisting of three (3) years. Offers will be solicited, awarded, and paid in Japanese Yen; however, the price of the contract action will be expressed in U.S. Dollars for the administrative convenience of the U.S. Government.

Work Details
The construction projects will primarily consist of general building type projects utilizing the DBB construction project delivery method. The proposed scope of work will be specified in each task order and may include, but is not limited to, Bachelor Enlisted Quarters (BEQ)/Bachelor Officer Quarters (BOQ) minor renovations, food services facilities, office/admin renovations, total building demolition, built-in equipment repair/replacement, piping repair/replacement, electrical work, mechanical work, minor road pavement, minor fencing and roofing, welding and masonry, painting, various civil site work, and removal/remediation and disposal of lead-based paint, Poly Chlorinated Biphenyl (PBC), and asbestos containing material.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is mandatory and negotiable with a start date within 15 calendar days after receiving award notice to proceed and completion within 360 calendar days after receiving award notice to proceed.

Place of Performance
The primary location of construction projects will be at various U.S. Government Installations in Okinawa, Japan.
