The Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center Biomedical Engineering department requires an upgrade of the Zenitel AlphaCom 138 Intercom Server and connected intercom stations in the Medical Center. The current intercom system will be replaced with an IP-based intercom system. Upgrade of the intercom system will be a phased project in order to minimize disruption of patient care. The newly installed intercom stations and server must compatibility with the existing Zenitel intercom system installed in the Medical Procedures Unit on the 7th floor. System must have sealed wall stations suitable for use in the Operating Room environment. This is a brand name or equal requirement
Background
The Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center's Biomedical Engineering department is seeking to upgrade its intercom system. The goal of this contract is to replace the existing Zenitel AlphaCom 138 Intercom Server and connected intercom stations with a new IP-based intercom system. This upgrade is essential for maintaining effective communication within the facility while minimizing disruption to patient care.

The project must ensure compatibility with the existing Zenitel intercom system located in the Medical Procedures Unit on the 7th floor. The new installations must include sealed wall stations suitable for use in sterile Operating Room environments.

Work Details
The contractor will provide project management services, including an installation schedule due within 30 days of award, outlining project completion within 180 days. Key tasks include:
1. Equipment Delivery and Installation of Required Cabling, Backboxes, and Infrastructure for New Equipment.
2. Installation and Configuration of New Equipment, including server configuration and database integration.
3. Integration Testing to validate communication between new and existing intercom components.
4. Demolition/removal of outdated equipment and clean-up.
5. Provision of all necessary hardware, software, licensing, and training for clinical staff (minimum of 150 staff) and technical staff (minimum of 5 staff).
6. The contractor shall ensure that all systems are tested before the go-live date to avoid delays.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall provide an installation schedule within 30 days of award that outlines a project completion within 180 days of award.
