Jonathan Ford Page 2 of 2 Amendment 1 Question 1: What has been the historical usage of Weekend deliveries? Answer 1: Historical weekend deliveries cannot be determined as that separate data is not available. Question 2: Cost for repairs (other than minor repairs) will be billed as per hour rates in the Schedule of Supplies/Services. Repairs and refurbishment will be accomplished by appropriately trained and qualified personnel. Who determines whether a repair is considered a minor repair? The VA or the contractor? Answer 2: Paragraph 1.2 of section B.3 identifies minor repairs as repairs that can be performed without the use of additional parts that are specific to the equipment being repaired (i.e. replacing bolts, screws, or wiring connectors). Question 3: A list of equipment is provided in the PWS, but it is precluded with the statement: HME will include but not be limited to the items identified below. Please provide the list of all equipment. Answer 3: The VA Southern Arizona Healthcare System services Veterans with a wide array of medical needs. All needed equipment cannot be pre-determined, however the list included in the solicitation provides the most common equipment that has historically been utilized. Question 4: What is the warehouse square footage requirement to satisfy the requirements of this contract? Answer 4: A required minimum square footage is not specified, the contractor must determine the appropriate square footage needed to store at minimum, the identified equipment in the manner specified in the solicitation. Question 5: Can the solicitation be amended as a small business set-aside? Answer 5: Unfortunately, no. A determination has been made that an SDVOSB set aside is appropriate for this solicitation at this time and cannot be changed to accommodate any particular vendors.
