Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Network Contracting Office 22, is soliciting an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for Home Medical Equipment (HME) Services to support the VA Southern Arizona Healthcare System (VASAHS). The goal is to provide delivery, set-up, pick-up, storage, cleaning, minor repair, refurbishment, and management of government-owned HME for VA beneficiaries at their residences within the VASAHS catchment area.

Work Details
Provide all necessary labor, facilities, transportation, and management to perform delivery and pick-up of HME; set-up and disassembly; minor repair; cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfection; storage; inventory management; and refurbishment.
Receive service requests via encrypted email, fax, or oral request (confirmed in writing), confirm receipt within two working hours, and schedule delivery or pick-up within 48 hours (or within four hours for emergency requests), including after hours, weekends, and holidays.
Perform home safety assessments; provide verbal and written patient education, demonstration, and operation manuals; complete and collect signed Certification of Delivery forms; pack equipment to prevent damage; dispose of single-use items per federal, state, and local regulations.
Maintain a secure, climate-controlled facility within 50 miles of VA facilities; tag and label government-owned equipment; perform weekly inventory counts and report to the COR; handle drop-shipped parts and notify the COR of repair estimates; and provide detailed invoicing with patient and service information.

Period of Performance
One-year Base Period with four one-year option periods, exercisable at the Government’s discretion.

Place of Performance
VA Southern Arizona Healthcare System (3601 S 6th Avenue, Tucson, AZ 85723) serving veterans’ residences in Cochise, Graham, Greenlee, Pima, Pinal, and Santa Cruz counties, Arizona.
