Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21), is seeking a qualified general contractor to execute Project No. 662-26-102, which involves replacing the Morgue Cooler at the San Francisco VA Medical Center.

This project aims to ensure that the morgue's HVAC systems are updated and functioning efficiently to support the facility's operations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the procurement and installation of commercial equipment, specifically a direct replacement of an existing air handler and associated air-cooled condensing unit.

The work area includes the south portion of Building 203 roof and the dock area necessary for performing the installation. The contractor must have EPA 608 Certification and provide coordination drawings, product submittals, and any engineered details necessary due to modifications from existing configurations.

The specifications require testing and balancing of ductwork to ensure compliance with operational standards. The existing equipment includes an air handler from Haakon Industries and a condensing unit from Trane, both needing replacement with equivalent products that meet specific design characteristics.

The contractor is also expected to manage site conditions, including lock-out tag-out (LOTO) procedures for safety during disconnection and charging of utilities.
