Domestic Water Booster System Replacement

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs, specifically the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System (CTVHCS), is seeking to replace the existing domestic water booster system at the Olin E. Teague Veterans’ Medical Center.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that the facility has a fully operational booster system that meets its needs, adhering to all relevant standards and regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision, coordination, testing, and commissioning for the project.

Key tasks include: removing existing equipment; furnishing and installing a new booster system; integrating with building systems; performing startup; and providing documentation and training.

The new system must achieve a performance of 525 GPM at 85 psi with specific equipment requirements including three Ebara Series 3U pumps and various piping specifications. Installation must minimize disruptions to patient care by initially installing a bypass on domestic water lines.

The contractor is responsible for hydrostatic testing, electrical verification, VFD programming, and performance testing. Additionally, comprehensive documentation including product data, shop drawings, installation plans, O&M manuals, warranties, and as-built drawings must be provided upon completion.

Period of Performance
Work shall be completed within 30–60 calendar days from award notice.
