Question and Answer - Replace and Install Fire Doors - Garland

Contractor is to provide supervision, labor, and specified material below on Fire Door replacement and installation located at VAMC Garland facility. The Contractor shall visit the site to determine the full extent of the work. Failure to inspect the site will not constitute grounds for a claim after contract award.

Background
The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for the replacement and installation of fire doors at the VAMC Garland facility. The goal of this contract is to ensure compliance with NFPA Code and enhance physical security at the facility. The contractor will be responsible for providing supervision, labor, and specified materials necessary for the completion of this project.

Work Details
The contractor is required to supply parts, labor, material, and supervision to replace fire doors at the Boiler Plant per NFPA Code and Physical Security requirements. A site visit is mandatory for the contractor to assess the full extent of work needed; failure to do so will not be grounds for a claim post-award. The work must comply with all relevant safety and security standards as outlined in the Statement of Work.

Period of Performance
The contract period begins on May 10, 2025, and ends on September 30, 2025.

Place of Performance
The construction projects will be performed at the Department of Veterans Affairs Garland VA Medical Center located at 2300 Marie Curie Blvd, Garland, TX 75042.
