Background
The National Park Service (NPS), Department of Interior (DOI), Boston MABO, is soliciting proposals on a Total Small Business Set-Aside basis from all interested businesses having the capability to perform the work described. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the website at www.sam.gov. Vendors can search for opportunities and award history on www.sam.gov without registering. The website has an Interested Vendors List and a Watchlist where you can add your company’s interest. Registering provides the opportunity to receive notifications; this is a tool of convenience only and does not serve as a guarantee of notification. Interested vendors and plan holders are required to visit the website periodically to check for amendments and other changes to the synopsis or solicitation documents. Prospective offerors desiring to conduct business with the DOI are required to have an active registration in the Systems for Awards Management (SAM) at www.sam.gov. You are also required to have a DUNS number in order to conduct business with the Federal Government.

Work Details
The project involves construction services to replace five (5) natural gas boilers in Building #1 and #13 at Springfield Armory National Historic Site, Springfield, Massachusetts. The first portion of this project will be to replace three (3) 521,000 BTUH natural gas steam boilers in historic building #13, the Main Armory Museum, replace approximately 90 linear feet of 12-inch diameter galvanized vent piping with new PVC vent piping suitable for new high efficiency boilers and remove 2 hydronic 208/230-volt circulator pumps.
The second portion of this project will be to replace two (2) 521,000 BTUH output natural gas steam boilers new High Efficiency, Natural Gas, Condensing Cascade Boiler system with all associated PVC vent piping in Commanders Quarters Building #1. Also included in this project will be to replace approximately 70 linear feet of vent pipe. Replace existing 70 linear feet of vent piping with new PVC vent piping suitable for new high efficiency condensing boilers.
