Background
The Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Desert Southwest Region (DSW), is seeking a qualified contractor to perform HVAC unit replacements at the Yuma Service Center (YSC) located in Yuma, AZ. This project aims to enhance the facility's HVAC systems to ensure compliance with operational standards and improve energy efficiency. The contract is part of WAPA's mission to provide reliable and efficient energy solutions.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the replacement of existing HVAC systems with new units of like kind and size at the Yuma Service Center, specifically at 7488 E. Highway 95, Yuma, AZ 85365. The work includes:

1. Removal of existing wall units and repairing the stucco where old units were installed.

2. Installation of two new split system air conditioner units with heater capacity (CU-1 and CU-3; 208-230 V/3PH/60Hz) that match current capacities for cooling and heating.

3. Installation of linesets, high and low voltage wiring, disconnects, fuses, and lineset covers.

4. Compliance with WAPA’s Standard Specifications Division 11 – Service Building.

5. Adherence to all applicable Federal, State, and local laws governing HVAC installation.

6. Disposal of waste materials including refrigerants in accordance with environmental regulations.

7. Submission of equipment submittals for approval prior to installation.

Period of Performance
The contractor shall commence work within 10 days after receiving notice to proceed and complete all work within 90 days from the start date.
