Background
The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is issuing Request for Proposal (RFP) # AOCSSB26R0003 for the Conservation of Murals and Paintings in the United States Capitol Building and Other Legislative Facilities. The goal of this contract is to provide conservation services for murals and paintings, ensuring their preservation and maintenance.

The AOC aims to award up to two Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contracts to responsible Offerors whose proposals offer the best value according to the requirements outlined in this solicitation.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the conservation of murals and paintings located within the United States Capitol Building and other legislative facilities. Specific tasks include: conducting assessments of existing conditions, developing conservation treatment proposals, executing approved treatments, and providing ongoing maintenance recommendations.

The contractor must adhere to established conservation standards and practices, ensuring that all work is reversible where possible and that materials used are compatible with existing artworks. Additionally, the contractor will be required to coordinate with AOC staff, attend site visits, and provide detailed documentation of all conservation work performed.
