Background
The U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical Defense (USAMRICD) has a requirement for a hematology analyzer to replace an instrument that is beyond its life expectancy. The system must be able to test animal blood and output whole blood and body fluid test results, such as CBC, RBS, WBS, PLT, etc. USAMRICD requires an analyzer that can test the blood and fluids of multiple animal species, including mouse, rat, guinea pig, rabbit, ferret, pig, mini pig, goat, marmoset and non-human primates (NHP), with sub-species for mouse, rat, rabbit, pig and NHPs.

Work Details
The specific product required is the Sysmex XN-1000V Multispecies Hematology Analyzer. The system should be fully enclosed and automated, capable of performing body fluid analysis and testing at least 100 blood samples per hour. It should require less than 100µL sample size for full analysis and be capable of running partial analysis on samples of 50µL.
Additionally, it should contain preloaded parameters for multiple species and specific tests including CBC, RBC, WBC, PLT, MPV, IPF, HGB, HTC, MCV, MCHC among others. The system should also include the computer and all accessories required to run the instrument.
