This is a Request for Information (RFI) For Operational Test Purposes Only and is Not a Notice of Solicitation Issuance. This Request For Information is for the Fire and Overheat Detection System. No reimbursement will be made for any cost associated when providing information to this Request for Information (RFI), nor any other subsequent exchanges. Your response will be treated as information only; it shall not be used as a proposal.

Background
The Air National Guard Readiness Center (ANGRC) Detachment 11/Air National Guard (ANG) Air Force Reserve Command (AFRC) Test Center (AATC) is seeking information for a Fire and Overheat Detection System (FODS) Tester.

This Request for Information (RFI) is intended for operational test purposes only and aims to identify sources and capabilities that can meet the agency's requirements for Multi-MDS aircraft. The goal is to gather insights on potential solutions without issuing a formal solicitation.

Work Details
The FODS Tester must possess the following capabilities and features:
- Accurately troubleshoot open and short fault indications for Fire Protection Systems using eutectic salt packing material inside fire loops, down to individual elements or within six inches of the fault.
- Provide real-time feedback on fault indication status to facilitate troubleshooting procedures.
- A full production representative tester must be available within the next 4 to 6 months.
- Utilize AC voltage not exceeding 10 volts peak to peak between 100Hz and 5kHz to prevent damage to fire loops.
- Include source data or instructions that provide maintainers with step-by-step procedures on how to use the tester.
- The system should be intuitive and usable by a skilled apprentice technician.
- Equipment must be rugged and reliable enough to withstand harsh environments, including excessive heat or cold, rain, sand, and dust exposure, in accordance with MIL-STD-810 requirements.
- Must meet MIL-STD-461G EMI/EMC requirements, specifically RE102 and RS103 standards.
- The equipment shall have self-calibration capabilities.
- Should be easily transportable and usable in various maintenance settings.
- Must have the ability to identify salt degradation within the fire loops.
