MT NP LIBI 10(2), Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument

Background

The intent of this sources sought is for market research to determine contractors with the necessary experience and resources capable of performing this work. The primary objective of the proposed contract is to increase transportation safety within the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument.

Work Details
The project involves grading, paving, and drainage work of the Little Bighorn Battlefield Tour Road and parking areas within the Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument. The Tour Road has sub‐standard width for the majority of its alignment and limited shoulders which do not accommodate two‐way traffic.

The project also includes addressing undersized and poorly configured parking areas that result in traffic conflicts, illegal parking, and pedestrian-vehicle conflicts. Additionally, the project requires coordination with NPS for archaeological monitoring and metal detection due to the culturally sensitive nature of the project.

Place of Performance
The project is located at Little Bighorn Battlefield National Monument, which is adjacent to Crow Tribe reservation lands for several miles.
