Background
The Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge, part of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, has a requirement for the replacement of lighting fixtures in its Maintenance Shop and Cold Bay storage building.
The goal of this contract is to enhance energy efficiency by replacing existing lighting with high output LED fixtures.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the removal and replacement of various types of light fixtures including wall pack, high bay, fluorescent, and explosion-proof fixtures.
Specific tasks include:
1. In the shop building:
- Remove and replace 6 wall pack fixtures and 3 high bay fixtures with energy-efficient high output LED fixtures.
- Remove ballasts from 12 four-lamp fluorescent fixtures and 15 two-lamp fluorescent fixtures, replacing them with LED lamps.
- Replace bulbs in 2 explosion-proof jelly jar fixtures with LEDs.
2. In the cold bay storage building:
- Remove ballasts from 4 two-lamp fluorescent fixtures and replace lamps with LEDs.
- Remove and replace 6 high bay fixtures with energy-efficient high output LED fixtures.
Additionally, proper disposal of all removed ballasts and lamps is required.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period is from December 29, 2025, to February 15, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Bowdoin National Wildlife Refuge Headquarters Office located at 194 Bowdoin Auto Tour Road, Malta, MT 59538.
