Mt BFTC Carpet Replacement Conference Room

Background
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) is issuing this contract for the replacement of carpet in the conference room at the Bozeman Fish Technology Center.

The goal of this contract is to provide a new, sustainable carpet solution that meets federal sustainability requirements while minimizing disruption to building operations.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Protect adjacent finishes, furniture, fixtures, and equipment before beginning work.
2. Remove and dispose of the existing carpet, adhesive, tack strips, and related materials as required.
3. Inspect and prepare the subfloor, including minor patching or leveling necessary for proper installation.
4. Supply and install new commercial-grade carpet throughout the conference room (approximately 567 square feet) in an approved color, pattern, and material, ensuring it meets sustainability requirements including USDA-designated biobased content.
5. Install or replace transition strips, edge treatments, and other related accessories as needed.
6. Reinstall furniture and leave the conference room clean and ready for use.

The completed installation must be secure, level, neatly finished, free of visible defects, with all waste removed from the premises before final inspection.

From November 30, 2026 to January 15, 2027.

Bidder Requirements
This is a 100% Small Business set-aside contract. Bidders must provide evidence of relevant experience in similar projects and submit two or three examples of prior work that demonstrate their ability to meet or exceed performance requirements. A site visit is highly encouraged to formulate a realistic offer. If subcontractors are anticipated, their names must be disclosed with the quote submission.
