Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. The Department of Veterans Affairs, James J. Peters VA Medical Center, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 2 is conducting a market survey for interested vendors capable of providing "MRI FIRE ALARM SYSTEM IMPROVEMENT," at the New York Harbor Healthcare System, Brooklyn Campus The scope of work consists of additional actions necessary to bring the existing fire alarm system into compliance with current requirements. The work is located at Brooklyn VAMC, 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY in the MRI Suite, Building 15 basement. The work shall include the following elements needed to complete installation: - Provide and Install One (1) Motorized Door Release Relay (Final Tie-in by others) - Provide and Install Two (2) Manual Fire Alarm Pull Stations (one located in main reception area near desk; one located near side exit door) - Provide and Install Twenty (20) Area Smoke Detectors and bases - Provide and install all wiring, conduit, and appurtenances to complete installation - Provide final Commissioning of the MRI Suite's fire suppression systems including all required elements to verify proper operation. - Conduct one (1) training session of VA Engineering personnel in the operation of the system. Provide competent, authorized personnel as necessary to provide instruction concerning the location, operation, and troubleshooting of the installed systems. The components to be installed under this scope of work shall be integrated with the entire fire alarm system. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 561621 (Security Systems Services (except Locksmiths) and the standard size is $25 million. The Product Service Code (PSC) is J063 (Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Equipment Alarm, Signal, and Security Detection Systems). All responses to this notice MUST be submitting in writing and emailed to charnell.cunningham@va.gov and must be received not later than May 31, 2023 at 10:00AM EST. Interested parties shall provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities (resumes), DUNS number and address, point of contact and social-economic. Interested parties who do not submit the above information on or before the response due date and time may not be considered for this procurement.
