MQ-9A Spares Procurement   2

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) has awarded a Firm Fixed Price Order N0001922F2395 under Basic Ordering Agreement N0001922G0006 to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI), Poway, CA, for the procurement of spares (Base contract with Options) necessary for the successful operational capability of the Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Expeditionary (MUX) Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) MQ-9A Block 5 Reaper air vehicles and GCSs. This Order was awarded to GA-ASI in the amount of $82,853,687 inclusive of all options.

This acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements." A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government.
