Description

The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) awarded a Fixed Priced modification to existing MQ-8C Fire Scout FY15 18 Production Contract N00019-16-C-0055 to Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation (NGSC), San Diego, CA, for the MQ-8C Production Line Shutdown.

This acquisition was pursued on a sole-source basis under authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. This effort is covered under the Class Justification and Approval (CJ&A) number 16-0196, 28 May 2016 redacted version attached to this announcement.
