Background
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is issuing this contract for mowing and trimming services at Coralville Lake, a flood control reservoir located in Iowa City, Iowa. The project includes various parks and access areas that offer recreational facilities such as boat launching ramps, campgrounds, marinas, picnic areas, and swimming beaches.

The goal of the contract is to maintain these public use areas to ensure they remain safe and accessible for visitors.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, tools, materials, supervision, and other items necessary to perform mowing and trimming services for public use areas at Coralville Lake. Specific tasks include:
1) Mowing turf areas to present an even appearance not less than 3 inches high;
2) Trimming grass and weeds around fixed objects such as trees, shrubs, buildings, fences, and playgrounds;
3) Removing grass clippings or debris from sidewalks and other areas immediately after mowing and trimming;
4) Mowing to the water's edge regardless of water elevation;
5) Adapting to changes in mowing requirements due to additional landscaping or management practices during the contract term;
6) Completing mowing within five workdays from the scheduled start date unless weather conditions necessitate an extension;
7) Ensuring that all work meets specified performance standards with a minimum acceptable service level of 96% for both mowing and trimming.
